1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Alchimie du Voyage ("the Company"), a licensed Destination Management Company (DMC) specialising exclusively in luxury travel to India. By making a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
2. Booking & Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed once we receive your signed booking form and deposit payment.
- The lead traveller must be at least 18 years of age.
- It is your responsibility to ensure all information provided (names, dates, passport details) is accurate.
- All itineraries are bespoke and tailored to your requirements. The final itinerary will be confirmed in writing before departure.
3. Deposit & Payment
- A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total journey cost is required to confirm your booking.
- The remaining balance (75%) is due 90 days before your departure date.
- If your booking is made less than 90 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
- All payments are in Euros (€) unless otherwise agreed.
- We accept bank transfer and credit card payments. A 2% surcharge may apply to credit card payments.
4. Cooling Off Period
- You may cancel your booking within 48 hours of confirmation and receive a full refund, including the deposit.
- After 48 hours, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
5. Cancellation by You
If you wish to cancel your booking after the 48-hour cooling off period, the following cancellation charges apply based on the date we receive your written notice of cancellation:

Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@alchimieduvoyage.com. The cancellation date is the date we receive your email.
We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to cover cancellation, medical expenses, baggage, and personal liability.
6. Changes by You
- If you wish to amend your booking after confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
- A change fee of €150 per amendment may apply, in addition to any charges imposed by hotels, airlines, or other suppliers.
- Significant changes (such as changing dates or destinations) may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
7. Cancellation or Changes by Us
- In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or amend your journey due to circumstances beyond our control.
- If we cancel your journey before departure, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid.
- If we make a significant change to your itinerary, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you the choice of accepting the change, an alternative journey of comparable standard, or a full refund.
8. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, government action, airline or transport disruption, or adverse weather conditions. In such cases, we will offer you the option to postpone your journey or receive a refund minus any unrecoverable costs.
9. Travel Insurance
It is a condition of booking that all travellers hold comprehensive travel insurance covering:
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
- Personal liability
- Baggage loss or delay
Proof of insurance may be requested before departure. We are not responsible for any losses not covered by your travel insurance.
10. Passports, Visas & Health
- It is your responsibility to ensure you hold a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity from your return date) and any required visas for travel to India.
- We can provide guidance on visa requirements but accept no responsibility for any failure to obtain the correct documentation.
- You are responsible for checking health and vaccination requirements for India and consulting your doctor before travel.
11. Our Liability
- We accept responsibility for ensuring that the services we provide are delivered with reasonable skill and care.
- We do not accept liability for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, or expense that is not directly caused by our negligence.
- Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the total cost of your booking.
- We are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers (hotels, airlines, guides) except where they are providing services as part of your booking with us.
12. Complaints
- If you have a complaint during your journey, please contact our 24/7 support team immediately so we can resolve the issue on the ground.
- If you are unable to resolve the matter during your trip, please submit your complaint in writing to info@alchimieduvoyage.com within 28 days of your return.
13. Data Protection
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your information solely for the purpose of arranging your travel and will not share it with third parties except as necessary to fulfil your booking. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
14. Governing Law
Alchimie du Voyage is a company registered in India. These Terms and Conditions are governed by Indian law. Any disputes arising from your booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Indian courts. For European clients, your statutory consumer rights under EU law are not affected by these terms.
